Our Staff

Mike "Stucky" Szczotka

Stucky has been part of the garment industry for more than 40 years, having his start in operations at a large formal wear company. He has been president of Eagle Star Equipment since 1993, supplying laundry and dry cleaning equipment to the retail and commercial textile care industries, along with the hospitality and health care industries. He also has a presence in the gaming industry, providing automated uniform conveyor systems, as well as consulting services throughout the United States.

To remain at the forefront of the industry trends and to enhance his knowledge of equipment advancements, operations and workflow, Stucky maintains his own dry cleaner with routes, a Laundromat with commercial laundry routes, a CRDN restoration plant, and a small commercial cleaning plant. Stucky has effectively opened numerous turn-key plants in Michigan and assisted clients around the nation in building new plants or redesigning and retooling their existing facilities.

Jeff Quail

Jeff Quail was introduced to the garment care industry in 1984 when he began working as a presser for President Tuxedo, a tuxedo rental company where Mike “Stucky” Szczotka was the General Manager. In order to avoid getting laid off during the slow season, Jeff learned all the other jobs in the plant: dry cleaning, spotting, shirt laundry and finishing, alterations, helping with inventory control and pulling and matching customer orders. After Stucky bought what is now Eagle Star Equipment and began to offer turn-key dry-cleaning plants, Stucky approached Jeff to run his model store and help train new investors everything at Eagle Star, including parts, service, installations, plant layouts, store development, consulting and primarily equipment sales.
